    Argue the approach with the team while it is still cheap to change.

    Spec

    ERD, contracts, edge cases. Written down, not held in my head.

    Break down

    Tasks small enough to finish and review inside a day.

    Build

    The fewest moving parts that solve it.

  6. 06

    Review

    Open the PR early. Other eyes catch what I stopped seeing.

  7. 07

    Iterate

    Fix what review found, then back to the build. Usually two passes before it is worth shipping.
